About

For just over two decades I worked in the field of graphics, advertising, and marketing.

In that time my primary focus was to garner attention for products using images, words, and typography, which would then convert to sales.

Over the years my skills increased and I became very successful, but at the same time, I felt more and more alienated from my original interests. In 2012 I decided to apply my skills to something I have had a true passion for, ever since childhood: Illustration for book covers and interiors, so I became a cover artist.

Since then, I’ve worked closely with authors and have produced hundreds of successful covers.

With that in mind, I’ve made this blog in order to help you get the best possible cover for your Book, CD, DVD or anything else you need a cover for. Whether you create it yourself or have it produced for you, the advice you will find here will help you get the best possible cover for your needs.

I’ll also occasionally be offering advice, first and second hand, about self-publishing in general if I think it’s of particular value.

I’ll be blogging advice on a regular basis and I’ll try to answer any questions you want to put to me in the comments.

I am also in the business of creating covers too. I can create illustrations or photo manipulations. I create custom designed covers, which you can check out here and also have pre-designed covers which you can see and order here.

As my client, you will be fully involved in the creative process from start to finish. First, we’ll discuss what you have in mind and then I will read your book (if it’s available). After that, we move on to producing rough layouts which we’ll discuss and edit until we have a cover that fits perfectly with your vision, while also being the ideal tool to garner attention and sales for your book. I have a deep love for the work and thoroughly enjoy the collaboration so when you choose me to produce your cover, I can guarantee you my full attention, and I look forward to working with you.

I hope you enjoy this blog, and if you do please let your friends and colleges in the publishing world know about it too.
